Kit Wan, a Hong Kong and Oslo-based visual artist, crafts unique abstract reality through costumes, multimedia installations, 3D graphics, and sound design. Following his studies at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (BA) and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (MA), Wan explores the interplay between humans and technology, drawing inspiration from mechanical aesthetics, manga, and sci-fi subcultures. His visually captivating work has been featured in esteemed publications such as GQ, Elle, The New York Times, and Vogue, and showcased on stages like Eurovision and the Grammys. He received the “Young Artist Work Scholarship” by The Arts Council of Norway, with pieces from his MA collection housed in Oslo’s National Museum archive. His studio collaborates with brands like Apple, Epson, Lenovo, and Samsung, and creates performative works for Denmark’s Hotel Pro Forma. Since 2020, Wan has designed numerous costumes for leading Asian musical talents.
