Originally from Beijing, Central Saint Martins graduate Oscar Ouyang doesn’t approach design like most people. While others work with existing materials, he is more interested in building things from scratch, starting with the material itself. After completing his BA and MA programmes at Central Saint Martins, he founded his eponymous brand, OSCAR OUYANG, with Yibo Chen, a Royal College of Art MA Fashion Womenswear alum. The London-based brand has been stocked in Dover Street Market globally and throughout major APEC markets since its debut collection. It focuses on gender-neutral fashion and knitwear, with a particular emphasis on sustainable practices. Drawing inspiration from military wear, nature, and edgy street style, Ouyang’s unique aesthetic offers a fresh perspective on traditional craftsmanship.
