Jingwei Yin

OUDE WAAG was established in 2017 by a Chengdu-born designer Jingwei Yin. Yin honed his fashion skills in London, earning a BA from Central Saint Martins and an MA from the Royal College of Art. The brand’s aesthetic is defined by an intellectual and empathetic exploration of the interplay between mind, clothing, and body. Yin’s personal affinity for subtle and often overlooked beauty is brought to life through his precise tailoring, fluid draping, innovative textiles, and meticulous attention to detail. Prior to founding OUDE WAAG, he gained experience working with renowned designers Haider Ackermann and Hussein Chalayan. In 2020, Yin was honored on Forbes China’s 30 Under 30 Elite list. He was also a finalist for the Yu Prize and the Vogue China Fashion Fund in both 2021 and 2023.
