SETCHU was founded by Japanese designer Satoshi Kuwata in Milan in 2020. Having lived in Kyoto, Paris, Milan, London, and New York, Kuwata has cultivated a unique approach to chic, enriched by a profound knowledge and respect for diverse cultures and craftsmanship in all its forms. He is the perfect embodiment of SETCHU’s style philosophy: dressing with substantial refinement in any context. Kuwata has developed an eye for sharp tailoring at prestigious institutions like H. Huntsman and Sons on Savile Row in London and has honed his taste through years at the helm of international design studios such as Givenchy, Edun, Kanye West, and Gareth Pugh. Kuwata was awarded the LVMH Prize in 2023. In 2024, he collaborated with Davies & Son to create a bespoke collection, presented in Venice during the opening of the Art Biennale.
