Mao Usami & Alve Lagercrantz

Shanghai based label Sirloin was founded by Central Saint Martins graduates Mao Usami and Alve Lagercrantz in 2016. The duo won several awards for their graduate collections, including the L’Oreal Professional Young Design Talent Award and the LVMH Grand Prix Scholarship. They then began their careers separately, working at brands including Louis Vuitton and Dries Van Noten. Since the launch of their womenswear collection in 2016, the brand has won Lane Crawford’s “Creative Call Out Campaign”, and attracted influential retailers and publications including Lane Crawford, Opening Ceremony, Business of Fashion and Novembre Magazine.
