SNOW XUE GAO is a luxury womenswear label based in New York. Chinese designer Xue Gao (Snow) established the eponymous label in 2017. It all started with Snow’s graduation collection of deconstructed yet tailored suits at the Parsons MFA show which quickly attracted attention, enabling the fledgling label to show on-schedule during 2017’s New York Fashion Week. Snow was nominated for the 2018 LVMH Prize and was featured on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” Asia list. SNOW XUE GAO is, to quote American Vogue: The Eastern “boudoir” kick in the Western “boardroom”. Snow’s intricately draped and tailored line breaks away from conventional definitions of masculinity and femininity through an exploration of exaggerated proportions, asymmetrical finishes and contrasting textures.
