Founded by Central Saint Martins graduate Mei Chen in 2015, Shanghai-based label MÄRCHEN creates clothing that is whimsical and ethereal with a strong point of view. The name MÄRCHEN comes from the German word for fairy tale and is a unique translation of the designer’s own name Chen and month of birth. Its romantic yet minimalist designs feature subtle details that create joy and ease while high-quality fabrics deliver volume and drama to the wearer.
