Future Threads: Menswear’s New Waves Between Italy and Hong Kong is a cross-border fashion exchange project organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), in partnership with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI), and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau as a flagship programme of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest.

As the organiser of Milano Fashion Week®, CNMI brings its renowned menswear showcase to Hong Kong through this exhibition. Meticulously curated by Ms. Sara Sozzani Maino, CNMI’s International New Talents and Brands Ambassador, this exhibition orchestrates a distinguished intercultural menswear event that links the aesthetics of both regions while celebrating the finest craftsmanship of these vibrant fashion capitals.

Featuring a curated line-up of ten outstanding emerging menswear designers from Italy and Hong Kong, the exhibition focuses sharply on the rapidly growing menswear market, filling a vital gap in the Asian fashion landscape which has been predominantly dominated by womenswear. At its core, the exhibition fosters a profound ‘creative dialogue’, exploring how a new generation of design talents is radically redefining contemporary menswear. The collections masterfully weave European and Asian craftsmanship with social responsibility and avant-garde innovation, offering a visionary and refreshing exclusive preview of the Spring/Summer 2027 menswear collections.
